“Art, at its core, is never only what we see. It is what we feel and what we carry forward. It lives in the hearts of those who create and in the spirits of those who receive, forming a quiet dialogue that transcends time.”

Three Artists. Three Families. Three Friendships.

DinéIda Sahmie

Raised in Pine Springs, Arizona, in the home of a respected silversmith, she came to pottery through her marriage to Hopi Andrew Sahmie, great-grandson of Nampeyo, and made the art her own, painting Diné-inspired designs with pigments gathered from local plants.
